Vivo V25 5G 50 megapixel Front Camera

Vivo V25 5G Review

Design

The outside is unique and special. In the section that can change color when exposed to sunlight, you can see the Vivo V25 5G from the Aquamarine Blue color variant. The body of the V25 5G on the sides looks flat and the camera section has two main sensors with a large circular frame.

This smartphone has a thickness of 7.79 mm and weighs 186 grams. It fits snugly when held and is comfortable to operate with one hand. Even so, the back cover is rather slippery. We prefer to install a softcase so that the grip feels more solid.

vivo V25 5G has a hybrid slot, which means you can only use two nano-SIMs or one nano-SIM and one microSD. At the bottom is a USB-C port along with a speaker hole. The power and volume buttons are both on the right. While the fingerprint sensor is behind the screen. The V25 5G is IP54 certified which means it is dust and splash resistant.

Screen

The V25 5G screen relies on a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD + resolution. The refresh rate is 90Hz, and it supports HDR10+. The screen brightness level is also quite good. We had no real trouble chatting or browsing in the sun. The response to touch is also good, and the fingerprint sensor under the screen is able to detect it quickly and accurately.

Camera

In terms of specifications, the Vivo V25 5G relies on a 50 megapixel front camera with the Eye Autofocus feature. Only one camera in front, not two like its predecessor. While on the back there are three cameras with a 64 megapixel main camera which has an f/1.8 lens and O.I.S (Optical Image Stabilization) features, equipped with an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera with an f/2.2 lens and a 2 megapixel macro camera.

In ideal light conditions, the V25 5G doesn't experience any significant problems. For photographing human objects, this camera phone is capable of producing a fairly smooth and convincing bokeh effect, with very neat separation between the object in front and the background. Only some details in the hair on the left side are also obscured, but the accessory in the form of white fur on the right manages to be separated properly.

The Vivo v25 5G selfie photos look natural, without too much facial make-up effects. For the record, the selfie photo above was taken indoors with ideal lighting. The model is facing a spotlight that is strong enough to illuminate her face.

Taking pictures at night is quite satisfying. A balance of dark and light areas can be achieved, although this means dark areas will appear gray and not as black as they actually are. But this is a necessary compromise so that bright areas can still be seen in detail.

In some conditions, we think that the normal Photo mode is actually better able to capture the nuances of the night better. Exposure is reduced slightly so that the dark areas in the sky look dark black and not gray. The results are quite okay with decent detail, as long as you don't enlarge the image on a computer screen.

For video needs, sophisticated friends can record up to 4K resolution at 30fps with both the rear and front cameras, or 1080p at 60fps.

Chipsets

vivo V25 5G is armed with the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chipset and has 8GB of RAM (you can add virtual RAM up to 8GB). Initially, we were confused about the Dimensity 900. The reason is that the V23 5G is supported by Dimensity 920. It turns out that Vivo has increased the storage to 256 GB from the previous 128 GB. Storage upgrade, chipset downgrade, in order to keep the price at the same number.

Battery

This cellphone battery is 4,500 mAh. The durability is good enough to accompany all day activities. Charging is also fast, 44W FlashCharge, which can charge up to 100 percent in about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
