Review Galaxy S23
It's amazing how quickly time passes. It seems like we were just ringing in the new year when Samsung announced the Galaxy S23 for this year. There are no noticeable alterations to the basic composition of the team right from the bat. There is still the standard S23, the slightly larger but otherwise identical S23+ that we are reviewing today, and the S23 Ultra, which follows in the footsteps of the S22 Ultra and the former Galaxy Note series.
Similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy S23+ hasn't seen many changes. This year, rather than a massive overhaul, Samsung is releasing a minor upgrade. You'll need to check out the Ultra, which has a whole new 200MP camera.
Instead, it is the S23+, which features a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Samsung CPU, a new 12MP front-facing camera, and a slightly larger 4,700 mAh battery. These are the vast majority of the improvements over the S22+, with a few small things here and there that we'll discuss in the review.
The S23+, like its specifications, has a refreshed appearance, however it doesn't deviate significantly from the previous year's model. This year, the camera island has been eliminated, and all cameras are now located separately on the back of the device. The S23 family as a whole benefits from this greater likeness and harmony with the Ultra design.
The S23price +'s tag hasn't shifted significantly, either. In the United States, the beginning price is $1,000, the same as the original suggested retail price of the S22+. This time around, though, Samsung has increased the phone's standard storage to 256GB rather than 128GB. Even without the additional discounts and extras Samsung is offering, it's a fairly good value. Nevertheless, the S23+ is more expensive in Europe than the S22+.
In general, the S23+ won't shock us in any significant ways. It looks to be an improvement over last year's model and a "safe pick" as a result. Without further ado, therefore, let's explore this further.
